The Stares: The Story
The Stares first embarked on their musical voyage of discovery together as a cohesive Rock Band in 2000. But their origin goes back earlier to when the band members grew up listening to a variety of music genres that played an influential role in shaping their paths as musicians and ultimately led them together. As The Stares, they have collectively found their signature sound, and offer something different and unique to their fans by creating and sharing original music they are proud to call their own. WHO’S WHO
Kate Rombough
LEAD SINGER
Kate has been with The Stares since April of 2013. As Lead Singer, she helps with everything from fine-tuning the musical arrangements to assisting other bandmates with perfecting their performances.
Scott Burns
LEAD GUITARIST
A band wouldn't be complete without its Lead Guitarist, and The Stares couldn’t have asked for a better one than the talented Scott Burns. He plays an instrumental role in the success and musical progression of the band.
Mike Hogan
DRUMMER
Mike Hogan is truly a shining star. Crowds always love seeing him in full performance mode, and the band couldn’t be happier to have such an incredible Drummer up on stage with them. Not to mention his sense of humour is legendary.
Evan Veenstra
BASS PLAYER
Evan Veenstra is one talented bass player. Filling someone else's shoes is never easy, and he stepped up to the plate with ease and grace. The band couldn't imagine anyone else as charismatic, professional, and fun joining them for the next chapter in their journey and are so happy he's decided to become a permanent member.
